There are many ways to become a certified teacher in Florida. We have included web pages that will provide specific information for you depending on your education and experience. Not all possibilities are listed here, but if you see one that describes your circumstances, click on the link and it will take you to the information you need.

How would you describe your education and experience?

1. I have at least a bachelor’s degree from a Florida state approved teacher preparation program, including educator preparation institutes (TIP at Florida Gulf Coast University).

2. I have at least a bachelor’s degree with a Florida state approved minor in education.

3. I have at least a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

4. I have at least a bachelor’s degree and hold a valid standard teaching certificate or license from another state.
