STU hosted a peer review on Saturday, June 8, 2002 to review the lessons produced this past year. The reviewers found the lessons to be sound pedagogy and rated a few of the lessons as commendable in terms of the use of technology in accordance with the ISTE standards and guidelines which were produced as a result of the Collaborative Exchange.

Great Chat !! Thanks to all!

We will be having our steering committee chat at 9:00 PM on Tuesday, February 26th.
Please try to get into the Fall 2001 WEB CT Chat Room #1 before the chat so that if you need technical assistance in getting into the chat you will have enough time to contact rperez@stu.edu or bhalvers@fgcu.edu. I am going to make sure myself!

Here is the tentative agenda, if you have anything you want to add to the agenda, please let me know so I can add it.

1. Reminder that the final work from the Fall 2001 Semester should be completed. We are in the process of getting the materials ready to be sent out for the expert review. I know some of the team leaders wanted to refine the product for their team before the expert review. This week would be the last week to make those changes before the materials are finalized and sent out for the expert review.
2. Progress Reports from the Team Leaders on the Spring 2002 lesson plans. We would like each team leader to let us know how their team is progressing in accomplishing the objectives for this term.
3. Comments/Feedback/Suggestions for Improvement: We would like to discuss any ideas or comments you may have to improve the project for the rest of this semester.
4. Next Year's Activities: We will be able to begin discussions on the activities that will be included in the contracts for next year. We have planned to write technology enhanced multidisciplinary units for BEACON. However, we have heard that some of the participants have other interests in the field of technology and want to pursue learning along different lines. We want to begin discussing these new ideas.
5. Site Visit Preparation: Most of you have responded and been included in our upcoming site visit schedule. We will confirm your time slot and schedule in separate correspondence, but any questions you may have about this visit can be discussed for the benefit of all.
6. Upcoming Conference Presentations: We are a busy group! Two presentations at FETC and 5 at SITE! Those of you who are involved in presenting together can hang around at the end of the chat to discuss time frames and presentation details.
7. Looking forward to chatting with you all! Mary Kay
