Brief History
  • The Omega Epsilon Chapter was established on February 7, 1999.
Chapter Requirements
  • Intent to continue in the field of education
  • Leadership attributes
  • Undergraduates must have a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or is equivalent), and at least 12 semester hours (or is equivalent) in education courses completed, in process, or enrolled in at least one block one class.
  • Graduate students must have regular admission status in an accredited institution, six or more semester hours (or its equivalent) in that institution, at least 12 semester hours (or its equivalent) of education courses, and a graduate-level GPA of at least 3.25 out of 4.0
  • Members must attend at least one fundraising event, one chapter community service event, and at least two chapter meetings per academic year (the induction ceremony counts as one meeting), participate in the RIF (reading is fun) week activities, and serve on a chapter committee in order to graduate with the KDP honor cords
