We are pleased that you are interested in serving in a mentor role
for students aspiring to be educational leaders. We are interested
in working with innovative leaders who believe in empowering employees
and involving them in the decisions that are important to the effective
functioning of the organization.
Please read the
Guide
to the
Internship in Educational Leadership and discuss its contents with the university
supervisor and the student. We encourage you to have frequent contact
with the university supervisor to arrange for experiences for the
student that meet both your organizational needs and the requirements
of the internship for the student.
We firmly believe that through a strong, cooperative effort between
the practicing school leaders and the FGCU faculty, we can develop
outstanding leaders who have competence in both the practical and
theoretical knowledge base necessary for success.
