• Interstate School Leaders' Licensure Consortium Standards (ISLLC): these standards are required for student portfolios. The Educational Leadership Contituent Council (ELCC) Standards of the National Policy Board on Educational Administration mirror those of ISLCC.
• Student Learning Outcomes for the Program in Educational Leadership: these standards should be integrated into student portfolios.
• Florida Principal Compentencies: these are the competencies that the state of Florida requires for its principals. All students in the program are required to be familiar with these competencies.

• Student Support Systems: This is an excellent FGCU website that provides tutorial and information about the Library, Microsoft software such as Word and Excel, and may other technology-related student needs.

• Rubric for Learning Portfolio. Your professors have developed a rubric for scoring the learning portfolios. We welcome your feedback for improving this rubric.

• Writing Guidelines: This document contains the requirements for writing all papers in your classes.

• Book list: This is a list of recommended books for students to read prior to becoming school administrators.
• General Bibliography for Educational Leadership. Used primarily in courses: EDA 6061 Principals of Educational Administration and EDA 6192 Educational Leadership.
• Bibliography for Total Quality Management, School-Based Decision Making and Empowerment.
• School-Wide Reform Bibliography: from AASA and the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI). This database focuses on proven school reform efforts and reports on the best 24 proven practices.

This report was developed by the faculty at FGCU to obtain state approval of its program in Educational Leadership. Full approval has been granted effective in 2000 for a 5-year period.
