MAIN HANDBOOK LINKS

The following link are important links for current students. These comprise the main body of the Student Handbook

1. Student Information and Program Timelines: Specific information is provided in this link about new student advising, student responsibilities, and timelines for program completion.

2. Class Scheduling Information: The following links contain important information to assist students in planning their program. 

• Student Planned Program of Study:  This form is required for all students. There is a practice form on this link and then a link to the online database that you will complete. Your advisor will approve the plan when you have completed it. You are encouraged to set up an appointment to meet with your advisor if possible.

• Course Rotation Schedule: Click here to see which courses are offered each semester. Additional courses may be offered, so also check the FGCU schedule in Gulfline.

• Course Sequencing Information: This link shows in which sequence courses should be taken.

• Student Schedules: This link provides examples of student schedules based upon which semester one begins the program. Students should use these examples as guides to plan their program.

3. Guide to the Internship in Educational Leadership: This link provides information for students and mentors to assist students in completing their practicum. 

4. Portfolio Guidelines: This guide contains information for students to complete their final program assessment. Two electronic portfolios are required to be completed: The Learning Portfolio and The Professional Portfolio. Prior to graduation, students must present their portfolios to the faculty.

5. Florida State Standards for Educational Leaders: These standards apply to all students who began the program in the fall of 2005 or after. The Portfolio Guide had been changed to reflect these new standards. The standards are based on the six original ISLLC standards. 

6. Students who began the program prior to the fall of 2005, have the option of using the links below to complete their Learning Portfolios. They may opt to use the new state standards in the above link #5.

• Interstate School Leaders' Licensure Consortium Standards (ISLLC): these standards are required for student portfolios. The Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC) Standards of the National Policy Board on Educational Administration mirror those of ISLCC.

• Florida Principal Competencies: these are the competencies that the state of Florida requires for its principals. All students in the program are required to be familiar with these competencies.

• Matrix of Courses to FELE Objectives: here is a complete listing of the FELE objectives that are taught in each course in the program.
