Information for Families

The goal of this collaborative partnership between schools and families is to enhance positive student outcomes. Family as Faculty brings parents and educators together, offering opportunities for teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, counselors, and others working with children with special needs to:

• deepen their understandings of the family perspective;
• develop closer communications with families, and
• increase knowledge, attitudes, and skills that will support their commitment to meeting their students' learning needs.

Below you will find a brochure which describes the program and an application form. If you apply and are accepted, Family as Faculty will provide you with training, financial support and subsequent opportunities to make a difference in the lives of students with special needs by helping to prepare their teachers.
