Welcome! You are now officially a Level II (Block 5) Teacher Candidate! As you know, Student Teaching and Senior Seminar are extremely important components of your educational preparation for teaching. Read the Information below and be prepared to participate in these important sessions.
ALL Student Teaching Orientation and Senior Seminar sessions during Orientation Week are MANDATORY FOR ALL TEACHER CANDIDATES. Attendance will be taken and punctuality is expected!
The Office of Student Teaching/Clinical Experience reserves the right to withdraw a teacher candidate from Student Teaching if the teacher candidate does not attend these sessions.
You are required to contact your cooperating teacher at your assigned school before the FGCU semester begins. Please do so. You will receive an email on your Eagle Email account reminding you of the dates and locations for the Orientation Week prior to the beginning of the semester. Typically the Orientation Week will be the first official week of the semester. The First Official Day in your Student Teaching Classroom will be announced in the Orientation Email.
