Criteria for Placement - Pre-Requisites

Criteria for Placement in the Level I (Block 4) Student Teaching Program and the Level II (Block 5) Student Teaching Program for the Integrated Education Program:

• Admittance to the College of Education as a degree student.
• A grade point average of 2.5 or better in professional education and subject area courses.
• A "C" or better in all professional and subject area courses.

Level I (Block 4)

• Must have completed Blocks 1, 2, and 3.
• Passed the GKT and the Professional Educator’s Exam.
• Must have completed or concurrently enrolled in all courses in Block 4.
• Submit a completed application and card by deadline.

Level II (Block 5)

• Must have completed Blocks 1, 2, 3, and 4.
• Must have passed all required certification tests: GKT, Professional Educator’s Exam and Subject Area Exams.
• Submit a completed application and card by deadline.
