Dr. Cynthia Dawn Martelli is an Assistant Professor of the College of Education in the Curriculum, Instruction, and Culture at Florida Gulf Coast University. Her major duties and responsibilities include providing leadership, guidance, and service to the department by way of:

  • Co-counselor for Kappa Delta Pi
  • Member of the Appeals Committee
  • Supervision of TIP students
  • Coordinator of SFMH Tutor Program

Dr. Martelli also teaches graduate courses for secondary education. Her research interests includes how Problem Based Learning (PBL) provides a framework for teaching the skills and processes of a 21st century standards based curriculum using integration of technology skills and young adult literature and the changing definition of reading workshop with Common Core state standards.
