Dr. Robert Triscari is an Assistant Professor in Research, Evaluation, and Measurement. He has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a master's degree in program evaluation from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in psychometrics and statistics also from the University of Texas at Austin.

He has over 15 years of experience teaching in higher education, and 25 years in conducting research in the areas of psychometrics, statistics, and program evaluation. In addition to his current position, his career has spanned the University setting at the University of Texas at Austin Population Research Center and Virginia Commonwealth University, the private sector where he was the Director of Psychometrics and Research at a large test publishing company, and evaluation, statistical, and psychometric work for the Texas and Virginia departments of education.

He has also been a technical consultant to the USDOE for the last 15 years with a focus on NCLB and Race to the Top assessments.

His primary teaching focus has been in the area of measurement, evaluation, and statistics for Doctoral students.

His research interests include:

  • Teacher Evaluation Systems – Including VAM models
  • Large Scale Student Assessment
  • Assessment accommodations
  • Assessing English Language Learners
  • Multivariate Statistics
  • Item Response Theory
  • Scaling and Equating
  • Empirical Bayes Models
