Dr. Lisa Crayton is an Assistant Professor of Reading Education in the College of Education. She teaches undergraduate and graduate literacy courses. Dr. Crayton has over 25 years of teaching experience. Her areas of research include: early literacy learning environments, textual mediation in early literacy conceptual frameworks, early interventions in reading, home to school transitions in literacy contexts, multicultural literature in the early literacy curriculum, and social justice and equity in literacy contexts.
